Call for applications – Secure a travel grant to the NEMO conference to attend a workshop with MOI! Museums of Impact

The project MOI! Museums of Impact will award five museum professionals from across Europe with a grant of €1000 to ensure their participation in a usability test and feedback session of MOI’s self-evaluation framework. MOI wishes to collect final feedback on the framework, which will help museums to evaluate and improve their impact on society and better meet the demands of a changing society.

The usability test and feedback session will take place on 11 October from 14:00-17:00 in Loulé, Portugal. It is part of the official programme of NEMO’s European Museum Conference: Innovation begins within - Resilient museums in times of disruption, which is taking place 9-11 October. All participants of the NEMO conference are welcome to register to the session to improve their competence in developing museums towards impact, but only 5 successful applicants will receive the grant to cover their travel, accommodation and the reduced conference fee (100 euro).

By joining the feedback session, participants will get to test the MOI self-evaluation framework and be part of developing the final version. The framework will be published later this year as an open-source tool that will help museums to cater to a more diverse, increasingly digital and ageing society, by supporting them in evaluating and actively refocusing their work in line with their own strengths and strategies.

Participants will be selected based on their motivation to participate and ability to actively use the framework at their institution or disseminate information about it.

The grant opportunity is only open to museum professionals based in Europe. NEMO members are given priority, but a membership is not a pre-condition for a positive selection.
